Everything went smoothly and the car was excellent .
So disappointed the A’Beckett Street branch is closing it was do convenient.
All good with the *** except when we had the remote fail to unlock the car on Easter Sunday afternoon in Mornington VIC. Assuming a flat battery we went to the major shopping centre to find Mr Minute closed and the mobile phone shop and jewellers unable to help with a replacement battery. We then phoned the East Coast assistance number on the key tag and was transferred to the pickup office in A'Beckett Street Melbourne before we could point out that that office was likely closed as it was after 2:00pm. Thus a second call and the representative could offer no advice other than call the Roadside Assist number. We logged a request for help and waited 70 mins out of the indicated 60 to 90 mins. When Roadside Assist arrived the *** *** checked the remote then checked both front door handles before finding an indication of the ***ual lock position. He was then able to remove the small cover and use the key to unlock our vehicle. He then ran the engine to check the display for a potential indicator that the remote battery was flat. then the *** *** told us that mobile phone towers can interfere with the batteries and indeed this proved to be the case. When we moved out of the area and headed towards Healsville the following afternoon the remote started to work again. So even if we had been able to obtained a replacement battery it's unlikely that the remote would have worked. I explained all this saga to the *** who took receipt of the vehicle on Thursday afternoon at your 2 Tarmac Drive office. When we gave him the small door piece that hides the lock area we were most concerned to see him immediately pop it back on. We lost over 2 hours in Mornington and missed doing a number of planned stops and activities because the remote ** and we were locked out of the car. Why replace the cover so someone else suffers the same misfortune, inconvenience and frustration? All the small covers on all your fleet should be removed! The Roadside Assist *** *** was unsure which door had the lock and knew how to pop the cover. I believe this is not general knowledge for all drivers. GET THOSE COVERS OFF THE LOCKS! Otherwise we had no issue with using or recommending East Coast in the future..
Easy pick up, easy drop off. I will continue to use East Coast as I’m happy with the service and pricing.
