The online booking process meant I was in and out in my car in about 8 mins. Then to be driven to the airport in the car I hired without having to move my luggage was the best. Thanks.

I fouled up my original booking by confusing Gold Coast with Sunshine Coast pick up locations.What an **! So I arrived from Gold Coast Airport to find my car hire was 220kms away up the M1 at Sunshine Coast. One of the desk team called *** took charge and helped me out with my embarrssing mistake.
There were no spare cars at Gold Coast or Brisbane for the ** we needed because it was a public holiday. The only option was to retrieve the car from Sunshine Coast.which we did - *** arranged a one day hire of another car and we drove to collect my original booking. Then my partner and I drove both cars back down to Gold Coast. 8 hours of my life I will never get back. *** *** changed the paperwork so that we could drop our hire off at Gold Coast to avoid having to repeat the whole process again at the end of our holiday. She was brilliant - please pass on my thanks!.

I booked a vehicle online through stress free car rentals which are excellent btw but when I went to return the vehicle east coast rentals tried to charge me for excess KMs when I had booked the car in the first place because it said it came with unlimited mileage. I will use stress free rental again but not east coast...sixt are an excellent company that I will probably stick with now

The location is great, only 5 minute walk from the airport and they have their own dedicated free shuttle if you don’t want to walk - they collect you immediately! The ‘on-site’ rental companies are still a 2 minute walk anyway - they are not inside the terminal building. Service is exceptional, they are very responsive and very quick to get you moving. Cars are always clean and new. My favourite part is that they are consistently half the price of the ‘onsite’ rentals. I have rented 7 times from East Coast and I always compare with other rental companies - they are always cheaper!!
